Route Plan

By car from Budapest :

Take the M2 motorway towards Vác. At kilometer 47, exit onto the M12 road at the sign for Szob/Vác-North/Tahitótfalu. Follow the road all the way to Kismaros. After the sign for Királyrét/Szokolya, turn onto Szokolyai Road. After 2.8 km, just before the "End of Kismaros" sign, turn right. At the Y-junction, take the right-hand road, which is a dead end—you'll find us near the end of that street.

By train from Budapest:

Take the Z70 train from Nyugati Railway Station in Budapest (runs hourly) towards Szob, and get off at Kismaros. From there, take bus 352, which stops near the entrance to the Királyrét Forest Railway  ("Kisvasút"). Get off at the Börzsönyliget stop.

By car from Vienna (Duration: approximately 3,5 hours ):

We recommend a scenic alternative route to us that avoids the heavily trafficked M1 motorway. It's about 50 km shorter and takes you through beautiful landscapes. Drive from Vienna towards Budapest on the A4 motorway, then continue on the M1 towards Győr/Budapest. Take the M1 motorway until Komárom, then exit the highway and drive through Komárom into Slovakia. Once in Komárno, continue straight and then turn onto Route 63.Enter Ipolydamásd into your GPS—after that, the road leads to us via Nagymaros. At the sign for Királyrét / Szokolya, turn left. No vignette is required for Slovakia since you won't be driving on any highways there.

However, for the Hungarian highways, you need to purchase a vignette. You can buy it online at: www.nemzetiutdij.hu 

Mit dem Auto von Wien (Dauer ca. 3,5 Stunden):

Wir empfehlen euch eine schöne alternative Route zu uns, die nicht über die stark befahrene Autobahn M1 bis Budapest führt. Diese Strecke ist etwa 50 km kürzer und führt euch durch wunderschöne Landschaften.Fahrt von Wien aus in Richtung Budapest (Autobahn A4) und dann weiter auf der M1 in Richtung Győr/Budapest. Fahrt auf der M1 bis Komárom, verlasst dort die Autobahn und fahrt durch Komárom weiter nach Slowakei. In Komárno immer geradeaus und biegt dann auf die Straße 63 ab. Gebt Ipolydamásd ins Navi ein – von dort führt euch der Weg über Nagymaros zu uns. Bei dem Schild Királyrét / Szokolya müsst ihr links abbiegen. Für Slowakei ist keine Vignette notwendig (da ihr in der Slowakei über keine Autobahn fährt), aber für die ungarische Autobahn musst ihr eine Vignette kaufen (online möglich: www.´nemzetiutdij.hu)
